JayNemar Smith- a Multi-Creative Entrepreneur, CEO/Founder of NEAT LEGACY Productions. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, JayNemar grew up surrounded by creatives. From a family full of musicians, writers, and artists to artistic environments like Rosa Parks Performing Arts High School where he studied as a vocal major, dance & drama minor. Later he became a student at NJPAC’s YAI & SYPW programs training alongside students like, MJ Rodrigues (POSE) & Okieriete Onaodowan (Hamilton / Station 9). He decided to continued on to college to study Music & Accounting and eventually went on to start a corporate career in the Restaurant industry. JayNemar wanted to have a bigger impact beyond hospitality and after 7 years of corporate leadership, he left his career and decided to pursue his passions in the arts. Choosing to impact lives the best way he knew how, through storytelling. In 2016 he Executive Produced his first project, Multi-Award Winning Musical, “Something Like A Fairytale”. At the end of 2016 JayNemar launched a video production company producing creative works for artist like Shamyra & G-Minor.

Wanting to push his passions further, JayNemar stepped into TV/Film & Commercial works in July of 2017. By 2018 he created the film production company NEAT LEGACY Productions. His commitment to vision, JayNemar has been on over 30 Productions within a years time, operating mainly as a Producer, Co-Writer, Director, Assistant Director or Production Designer. Some of his credits include Features: “Still Waters” & “We Were Young”, Shorts: “Love Story”, “PlayBall”, “Rift”, “Goldberg Variation” & “The Jar”. Web Series: The Hit Amazon Prime Series “Bobby Ashley’s The Ave”, HereTV’s Newest Series, “Single Man Problems”, “Delirium Series”, and many more. He’s also had the pleasure of working with companies such as BET, A&E, & M-Street Creative. JayNemar aims to create powerful stories, revealing authentic perspectives that open conversations on subjects untouched.
